Fashion Trends For Fall
Ah, that chilly nip is in the air again as summer finally loosens
its grip on the season it is time to think about warmer styles,
layering and yes, even those holiday parties that will soon be around
the corner.
A new twist to the familiar business suit may come in the form of
tweed. Tweeds can come in any colours. I saw a really nice one in
shades of purple one recently. With the suit comes the more feminine
looking blouse which is made from paisleys and florals for a more
feminine touch. Colours for these rich additions to the wardrobes
include chocolate browns, purples, spice colours to greens.
Gold is the colour of choice for jewelry with the accessories being
on the smaller scale or layered and pearls are back this year and seen
both around the neck and on the wrists.
Boots are in this year as they have been in the past. Lengths from
the ankle all the way to the knee are hot for the fall as well as
practical too.
When it comes to Casual Fridays, some women tend to be at a loss as
to what to wear. While you don’t want to go with jeans, t shirts and
hoodies, you still want to look casual, but professional because, after
all you are still at work. Khakis are the casual pant of choice. Put it
together with a white cotton shirt and maybe a jean jacket or a
corduroy jacket and you are good to go. But if that is how you dress
during the week, jeans with a cotton blouse and boots might be an
option for you. Your place of work will dictate what you can and cannot
wear. If you wear suits throughout the week to work, and khakis and
cotton are just too casual, team up dress pants with a silk or finer
material shirt rather than its more casual cotton cousin.
When it comes to fall and fashion though, you don’t have to
sacrifice your personal style when it comes to work. If you are in the
market for some new duds, go shopping, take a trusted friend with you,
try on a lot of clothes and have your friend give you their honest
opinion and see what works on you and what doesn’t and go from
there. In no time, you will be looking like a whole new person (well,
maybe not, but a well dressed you at least!!!)
