Gratitude is An Attitude
It is Thanksgiving time again followed soon by Christmas. If you are
like most of us, it is easy to take basic things like food, warm
clothes and shelter for granted and maybe even the little extras that
you have. But, you say, ‘I have worked hard for them and I deserve
them!’ Well I am certainly not disagreeing with you in that respect.
We also can think in the scope beyond ourselves in regards to being
thankful. Things like free speech and the like, but think for a
minute…what if you didn’t have your health
or the means to get where you are now, what would you have to be
thankful for? I imagine that most of us would be surprised. If you talk
to someone that has very little, they are extremely thankful for what
they do have.
Most people focus on being thankful during this season by telling
their loved ones how much they are appreciated, are able to share food
and love with those friends and families, but what about the rest of
the year?
Make this season a memorable one by giving back, but don’t let your attitude of gratitude lax after the holiday season is over.
