A very good book I am reading at the moment
is called “How To Get Anyone To Do Anything and Never Feel Powerless Again” by
David Lieberman, PH.D
It is a very interesting book that tells
you how to stop being manipulated, how to get people to return your phone calls
by using various phrases and much more. I would recommend to any woman involved
in the business world
Everyone knows that a smile is important
when you are meeting new people, at a job interview etc, but does anyone know
why? (No, there is no prize for the
right answer, sorry) According to Dr.
Lieberman, a smile accomplishes 4 important things: It conveys confidence, happiness, enthusiasm and most importantly
it shows acceptance.
The book also delves into leadership
pointers, how to say ‘no’ without guilt (that is something I need to work on!),
how to deal with children as parents, and how to tell if someone is
bluffing.
It is an interesting read and it could be
helpful for you if you have to deal with people (whether you are the boss or
not) in your day to day world.
