My
'date' went well. We made small talk,
drank coffee, watched the movie and then made more small talk. She's nice. Actually, she's really nice. I
found out that she just finished nursing school, has a dog and a cat and is one
year younger than me. Our husbands work
together so we commiserated about the terrible schedules. We also talked about grocery stores,
restaurants and the complete lack of anything cool in our town.
I'm
not really sure what to do next because it's not like we clicked. It was fun but it was awkward. I don't want to call her up and suggest
another outing because I don't really know what we have left to talk about. I also don't want to be rude by not calling
her. So I'm left wondering, is this
going to get easier? Is it possible to
become friends with someone you're not sure about? Or do you have to really click the first time
you meet? I wish I knew.
Maybe she and I will end up being friends or maybe the
next person that I meet will be a better fit. Whatever happens, at least I tried |
