Networking
Networking. A important word for women in the business world, but how do you
manage time to do that, run your business and still have time left over for
family? Women seem to be natural
relationship builders, so what better way to use this natural talent than to
network?
We all know how important networking is, no
matter what field you are in, its important not only for business contacts, for
piece of mind, support, and well just plain getting to know other business women
and with more women in the business world than ever before, not only owners of
business, but in the management sector as well, networking is becoming more
necessary. Business women sharing work
experiences, stresses, concerns, ideas, advice with maybe a little fun thrown
in!
If you live in or close to a large urban
center, there usually is a women’s networking group and I would suggest that
you make time and go to it. They
usually only meet once every month or two, so it is not a big chunk of time,
but oh so worth it in the end! Each month a different topic is covered in
respect to almost anything that pertains to women in business.
However, if you are not a fan of walking
into a room of people that you do not know (like me), I discovered a new way to
network, online!
There are a few places where you can network
online where you can meet women who have the same interests and possibly are in
the same field as you, although not as effective as going out and meeting
people in your community, it is another viable option. Your best bet is to do an Internet search
and see what group is a good fit for you. No matter which way you network, enjoy yourself and you may even learn a
few things!
