Those who are frantically trying to keep pace with search
engine optimization will be happy to know that there’s a new game in
town – using news releases with keywords and phrases that are designed
to divert traffic to your online site. With so many techniques
that have crashed and burned in the past – mostly due to overuse or
flawed design – the competition has been stiff to win the
cyber-race. This back door approach can effectively increase your
web traffic without the struggle of clawing your way to the pinnacle of
the search engine empire as part of a frenetic daily routine.
Many firms that offer search engine optimization services for their
clients have failed to recognize this contemporary tactic and, as a
result, some small business owners have felt the pangs of the loss of
potential clients. In many cases, handling your own search engine
affairs is the best plan of attack, rather than relying on the skills,
talent and savvy of an outside party to design such advertising
stratagems. Although going it solo may be the best choice for
many businesses, there are, in fact, a number of very talented firms
that have proven themselves to be quite effective – and honest – when
offering search engine optimization services and/or web-related
marketing techniques. An example of this would be DivaDesignWorld
of Portland, Oregon.
The methodology that’s employed for this type of marketing tactic is to
embed your keyword or phrase of choice into the title of the news
release, in order to gain some favor in the search engine
rankings. You may have to be a bit creative in order to outrank
your competitors, but that often simply means that you need to expand
your keyword phrases a bit, in order to embrace a larger number of
search engine categories. For instance, if you’re an online
retailer who specializes in children’s clothing, you might choose to
use “children’s clothing” as a keyword phrase. However, because
that’s so commonly used, your rankings will be negatively impacted, so
it’s best to draw the phrase out a bit by using something such as,
“children’s and toddlers’ summer clothing” – which can be altered to
fit any season of the year. If that’s not enough to single you
out in the crowd, then you can try some other keyword phrase, such as,
“children’s and toddler’s designer summer fashions for less,” or some
other phrase that may be specifically appropriate to your business.
Since ensuring a high ranking on the World Wide Web means obtaining one
of the top slots on Google and eMediaWire, then you’re going to have to
offer a news release that is both an attention-getter and one that
utilizes the most effective key-phrase tactic. PRWeb and
DivaDesignWorld both offer expertly written news releases to business
owners – the latter being the more economical and offering the higher
quality of the two – and can provide media services that will place you
among the higher ranking search engine result companies.
For those who opt to utilize the services of PRWeb, you’ll find
yourself in a bidding arena – in order to gain access to search engine
reports and discover which phrases that browsers are most commonly
using to find your news release. Of course, PRWeb prefers to call
these fees “contributions” – which is only one of the reasons that
makes them substandard when compared to DivaDesignWorld. As if
that’s not enough, you might find yourself right in the middle of a
bidding war when you use this tactic, because placing the entire amount
as your upfront bid will only instigate others to outbid you from the
outset, in order to achieve a higher ranking. In order to make
this type of tactic profitable, you’d need to be in one of the top
three search engine ranking slots, and that means employing bidding
tactics that are similar to those who bid at online auctions – those
who bid in the eleventh hour often win the item.
PRWeb then requires you to go back into its site and, while holding the
CTRL key, choose ten types of industries in order to expand the
distribution of your keyword-studded news release. If you find
that you don’t rank at least three out of five, then you’ll need to
continue this tactic, resubmitting it each time you achieve a lower
ranking than the coveted three out of five. You’re only able to
do this until two days prior to its scheduled release, so you’ve got to
make sure that you tweak it with any necessary adjustments on the
evening of the last applicable changing date. For example, if
your news release is scheduled to air on Thursday, then you only have
the opportunity to make any necessary changes until Tuesday
evening. After that, you have to accept whatever ranking you’ve
earned. This would mean that you’d have to spend several days
punching in keyword or phrase variables, hoping to achieve and maintain
one of the top rankings, choosing as many variations as you can.
If this sounds like a lot of work...it is. Dollar for dollar,
DivaDesignWorld can take care of the news release, keyword peppering
and posting for you without all of the hoopla that PRWeb requires.
If you’re willing to do a lot of work on your own, then using PRWeb
means that – for a Thursday release – you’ll have to write a 300-500
word news release with appropriate keywords and phrases and customize
the title to achieve optimum search engine exposure on Monday.
When Tuesday rolls around, you’ll then have to submit your release
early in the morning with a low-end bid (usually around $80), check
your rating, continue to rewrite and resubmit until you achieve three
out of five, log into the system and add more industry categories to
your list, and continue to check on your ranking status throughout the
day and evening. As your ranking falls, you’ll need to continue
upping the ante by bidding in increments until you achieve the desired
ranking once again (this is often done in $20 increments).
Finally, when the news release is scheduled to air on Thursday, check
your ranking and continue to add increments to your bid, as
necessary. Don’t be surprised if you have to go beyond the $1,000
mark in order to gain the almighty top-rank position.
For those of you who have lots of time on your hands – and the money to
match – PRWeb is the place to go. Those who live in the real
world of little time and less flexible budgets will opt for
DivaDesignWorld.
